The water users of the Köngäs west water cooperative:
The boiling recommendation for food and drinking water has been cancelled on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 in the water distribution area of the Köngäs Western Water Cooperative. The network water is drinkable again and no longer needs to be boiled.
The Köngäs Western Water Cooperative supplies water to the Köngäs village on the west side of the Ounasjoki river in the municipality of Kittilä.
The latest re-samples of the well, water intake and network water of the water distribution area of the Köngäs Western Water Cooperative were taken on 09.10.2023. According to laboratory results, no coliform bacteria, Escherichia coli bacteria, or enterococci have been detected in the water samples. Based on the water results, the boiling recommendation has been cancelled. The water is drinkable and can be used normally.
