Kittilä municipality offers housing advice. The housing advisory service is intended for all municipal residents, those moving to the municipality and those considering moving, both domestically and those moving to the country from elsewhere. Advice is given to renters and owner-occupiers and landlords.
The municipality of Kittilä has applied for and received funding for the advisory service from the Housing Finance and Development Center ARA, initially for the year 2025. Housing counseling is usually short-term, low-threshold guidance and counseling. Kittilä municipality's housing counseling service is implemented by Kittilä rental houses Oy.
The model is pioneering in the region, and it is hoped that it will also inspire other municipalities in the region to similar activities and possible cooperation between municipalities in the future.
