Levi Fell
Levi (or Levi Fell) is our most well-known fell, located in the center of Sirkka Village in Kittilä. Levi’s peak sits at 530,3m above sea level. Levi is known as a popular tourist destination year-round, and with over 40 slopes of different lengths and difficulties, tons of cross-country tracks, and biking and walking trails, Levi has lots to offer.

Aakennustunturi Fell
Aakennustunturi Fell is located in western Kittilä close to Ylläs. It is about 565m high and is part of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park. The Aakennustunturi nature trail, as well as the skiing and hiking trails, start at the Totovaara parking area. Kumputunturi Fell
Kumputunturi Fell is located in Kittilä. Its northern side is steep, while the southern side is more gradual. The fell is 581m above sea level, and it, along with the surrounding areas, is a Natura-2000 site. Over half of the area’s forests around the fell have over 200-year-old pine trees. The other forest areas have spruce that are over 200 years old, as well as younger pine trees. These forests are in their natural state. The upper parts of the fell consist mostly of rocky terrain.

Puljutunturi Fell and Pulju Wilderness Reserve
More experienced hikers can enjoy the nature in Pulju Wilderness Reserve, where there are numerous fells, hills, and swamps. Puljutunturi Fell, located in the southern part of the reserve, is 471m high. Other fells that reach heights above 400m include Kätkätunturi, Kieritunturi, Avisuoratunturi, and Peltotunturi, located in the northern and western parts of the reserve.
Pulju Wilderness Reserve does not have marked trails, however there are a few older and clearly visible tracks that are unmarked. Some of these tracks are visible on maps.

Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park
One-third of Finland’s most popular national park is located in Kittilä. Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park is a great place for those interested in longer trails and camping outdoors. The park covers an area of 1020 square kilometers and is located in the Municipalities of Enontekiö, Kittilä, Kolari, and Muonio. Enjoy hiking from fell to fell and breathe the world’s purest air on Finland’s oldest hiking trails.

Some historical sights and places to see in nature include:
Taatsi Sieidi is located about 10km from the Village of Pokka (100km from Kittilä Village). This place of worship was believed to be the home of gods, spirits, and elf folk, and is meant to be kept in its natural state. Read more on luontoon.fi and kittila.fi/taatsin-seita. (in Finnish)
Ruoppaköngäs consists of rock formations and a small waterfall. It is about 40km north of Kittilä Village and is a great place for a day trip. Read more here. (ENKKU LINKKI)
Sammalselkä reindeer hut and enclosure, restored by The Finnish Heritage Agency, is located about 90km from Kittilä in the direction of Inari.
You can also find interesting sights near Kittilä in Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park, such as Äkässaivo Lake, a rocky canyon worn by glacial rivers and the Seitapahta sieidi rock beside it, as well as the rugged Pakasaivo Lake and Kirkkopahta sieidi rock near it (in Finnish).
