There is a nature trail in the Ruoppaköngäs area where you can check out beautiful rock formations, boulders, and a small waterfall. The trail is easily accessible during summer and fall months when there is no snow on the ground. You can also get close to the trail by car.
Ruoppaköngäs is located about 22km from the center of Levi toward Muonio. Look for the signpost that reads “Ruoppaköngas” and turn left at Muoniontie 2177 (when driving from the direction of Levi). The trail is part of Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park in a nature reserve area and is maintained by Metsähallitus.
