If you do not return your loans by the due date, the library will send you two reminders that are subject to a fee.
- First reminder, 2 euros
- Second reminder, 3 euros
- Invoice
The fee for a loan that has been reserved but not picked up is 2€.
The cardholder is responsible for the loaned materials. If the library material you borrowed is broken or lost, you will have to replace the material. You must purchase a similar replacement item for the library or pay the replacement price determined by the library. Videos, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs have their specific copyright fees. For this reason, they cannot be replaced with another copy but instead a replacement fee must always be paid for them.
You cannot borrow materials if:
- you have an outstanding debt of 10€ or more
- you have received an invoice for unreturned materials
Your card will be banned until the invoice is paid or materials returned and fees are paid. The library is not responsible if your devices break when you use the library’s materials.

The first library card is free, renewal costs 3 euros.
Copying and laminating
You can use the copying machine in the Main Library.

A3 black and white copy 0,40€/page, A3 color copy 1€/page
Two-sided pages are double the price. Prices include 25,5% VAT.

Interlibrary loans
If the material you want is not in Lapin kirjasto, it can be ordered for you as an interlibrary loan from other libraries. Interlibrary loans are subject to a fee, usually 5€/item. The fee is based on the rate of the library sending the item, 5-10€ from university libraries.
