Employment and business services were transferred from the state to the responsibility of employment areas formed by municipalities on 1 January 2025.
- Employment services are part of the basic services of each municipality.
- Employment services are organized jointly by the municipalities of Enontekiö, Kittilä Kolari, Muonio and Pello, and together we form the Fell Lapland and Pello employment area.
- The municipality of Kittilä acts as the responsible municipality for the Fell Lapland and Pello employment area.
