Check out the Kittilä Recycling Center for some great finds, or donate your goods to the center. By donating, you are supporting charity work and employment opportunities in Kittilä. A portion of goods is donated to charity and hobby/community activities in the Kittilä area. The municipality’s technical department is responsible for operating the Kittilä Municipal Recycling Center.

What can you donate?
We accept the following:
- Usable goods that are intact or require small repairs
- Clean, dry, unscented:
- Clothes
- Shoes
- Textiles
- Carpets
- Books (no school books or encyclopedias)
- Wooden furniture
- Dishes and other usable home goods
- Building materials
- Working electrical appliances
- Sports equipment, bicycles
We do not accept the following:
- Broken or unusable goods
- Dirty or smelly goods
- SER-waste (electrical waste)
- Used underwear, socks, or bathing suits
- Particle board furniture
Kittilä Recycling Center action plan
Kittilä Municipality’s Recycling Center also offers low threshold employment opportunities to trainees.
The Kittilä Recycling Center organizes training aimed at future employment and education. The staff includes a job coach, a store manager, salespeople, and sorting workers. The Coaching Center Osmanpesä is right next door, offering workshop opportunities on things such as metal, nutrition, media, and fixing small appliances.
These training opportunities function as learning environments for people to practice tasks from different professional fields, get help figuring out their education/career path, complete vocational studies, and study basic skills for work and everyday life.

You can find a variety of goods, such as clothes for adults and children, dishes, home goods, textiles, books, and toys. The shop also has a children’s play area.
Note! Donated goods are received at the Recycling Center location on Teollisuustie Road.
You can also buy Kittilä products with the ‘Ahman vuodenajat’ design (Seasons of the Wolverine), designed by Jukka Puljujärvi for the Municipality of Kittilä.
The Municipality of Kittilä technical department maintains and is responsible for the activities of the Green Wolverine Thrift Store. Profits are used to upkeep its activities.
Rental equipment
Residents can also take advantage of the rental equipment service that is operated in collaboration with the Green Wolverine Thrift Store. The service offers different kinds of equipment for various hobbies and games etc.
