Dog tracks

Certain sections of cross-country skiing tracks can be used with dogs as long as they are on a leash. Dog tracks are clearly marked with a dog symbol and red dashed line on the track maps of Kittilä Village and the Levi area.

Dog walking on ski tracks is not allowed during the winter season for as long as the tracks are being groomed. You are free to walk your dog on a leash on the tracks and trails when there is no snow on the ground.

Kittilä’s dog track begins at the heating plant (Suotie) and continues along Isovaarantie on the Honkavaara loop all the way to the Väliauttontie intersection, about 7km one way.
