Artist Einari Junttila
Einari Junttila (1901–1975), a native of Kittilä, was internationally well-known and recognized as a self-taught lyrical realist, renowned especially as a watercolor artist. He also did oil paintings and worked with pastels. As the earliest known artist from Kittilä, Junttila was a sensitive interpreter of Lapland’s nature and remained true to his calling.
Einari Junttila Art Museum
The Einari Junttila Art Museum is open on Thursdays from 13-17, and by appointment at other times. The exhibition on display celebrates the 120th birthday of the artist.
Einari Junttila was one of the more talented watercolor artists in the 1930s, when his career took off with exhibitions in Germany and Helsinki. He was internationally recognized and invited to display his work in places around Finland and abroad.
Palsa Museum

The Palsa Museum is located in the home and atelier of the artist Kalervo Palsa (1947-1987). During his lifetime, Palsa became known for his provocative, sexual, and often grim paintings.
Ruoppaköngäs
There is a nature trail in the Ruoppaköngäs area where you can check out beautiful rock formations, boulders, and a small waterfall. The trail is easily accessible during summer and fall months when there is no snow on the ground. You can also get close to the trail by car.

Youth band practice rooms
The band practice rooms in the Notzki Youth Space are open during the youth space’s opening hours in the evenings. Note that all youth space rules apply in the band practice rooms as well.
The band practice rooms in the Käki2.0 Youth Space are temporarily unavailable.
Youth Evening Cafés
Evening Cafés are organized on Saturday evenings from 17.00-00.00 every other week in either the Kittilä Village or Sirkka Youth Space. Those in the seventh grade and older are welcome.
Come and play trivia and games, chat, or just hang out with a cup of coffee in hand!
Youth activities are always substance-free.
