The beach in Kittilä Village is located on the shore of Ounasjoki River, near the road to Sodankylä at Sodankyläntie 42, 99100 Kittilä (about 500m from Kittilä Village). You’ll find changing rooms and a beach volley net there. Note that there is no lifeguard on duty, so swim at your own risk.
Levi (or Levi Fell) is our most well-known fell, located in the center of Sirkka Village in Kittilä. Levi’s peak sits at 530,3m above sea level. Levi is known as a popular tourist destination year-round, and with over 40 slopes of different lengths and difficulties, tons of cross-country tracks, and biking and walking trails, Levi has lots to offer.
The rivers and lakes in Kittilä are especially great locations for fishing. Some of the bigger lakes include Kelontekemä Lake, Jerisjärvi Lake, and Pallasjärvi Lake. You can find more information about lakes in the area on the Järviwiki website (in Finnish).

Levi’s gorgeous golf course is located between the mighty Levi Fell and the sparkling Ounasjoki River. Golfing under the midnight sun allows for even longer days out on the course.

The Levi Fell, which is one of Finland’s largest and most popular skiing destinations, offers great slopes for downhill skiing and snowboarding.
There are 40 different slopes, from easy to challenging: lots of blue slopes for beginners, red for amateurs, and black for the more experienced skiers. In addition, you’ll find the Snowpark and Freeski areas for amateurs, as well as the Junior Park and Mini Park for younger enthusiasts.
The Karinnokka Lean-To in Kittilä Village, near the birdwatching tower, is maintained by Kittilä Municipality. The lean-to is meant for public recreational use and has both a firepit and a woodshed with firewood that can be used by visitors. You can see Ounasjoki River and Levi Fell from Karinnokka.
There is a 9-hole Frisbee golf course in Kittilä that is suitable for beginners, though experienced enthusiasts will also find some challenges on the course.
