Elvis Presleyn musiikki elää edelleen ja löytää tiensä aina uusien sukupolvien sydämiin, ja on entistäkin ajankohtaisempi uuden elokuvan myötä. Yhdysvaltalaista artistia on tituleerattu 1900-luvun tunnetuimmaksi henkilöksi. Presleyn sanotaan nostaneen rock and roll-musiikin yleiseen tietoisuuteen ja häntä pidetään suoranaisen kulttuurisen muutoksen käynnistäjänä. Elokuun 16. päivä tulee kuluneeksi 45 vuotta Presleyn kuolemasta. Artistin muistoa kunnioitetaan Marian kappelissa torstaina 8.9 kello 19 alkaen. Presleyn gospel-tuotantoa tulkitsee tilaisuudessa ARON. Suomalainen ARON on tunnettu Elvis-tulkinnoistaan. Artisti on käsitellyt uudelleen muun muassa Presleyn kipaleet Let it be me, How great thou art ja If I can dream.
English: Elvis gospel-concert in Levi Elvis Presley’s music is still alive and finding his way to the hearts of new generations again and again and at the moment not least because of new movie ”Elvis”.This american artist has been named the most famous person of the 20th century. Presley is said to popularise rock and roll music and considered to start whole cultural revolution. August 16th 2022 will be 45. anniversary of Elvis death. For the memory of the artist there will be arranged a concert in Marian kappeli-chapel on Thursday eigth of September starting at 19:00. In this concert Presley’s most beloved gospel and love songs will be performed by ARON. Finnish artist ARON is well-known on his Elvis versions. Artist has re-made Presley’s songs as Let it be me, How great thou art and If I can dream.
